Nivvialik Area Co-Management Committee Arviat

(3-year Term)

The Kivalliq Inuit Association is looking for nominations to fill member

positions for a three-year (3) term within the Nivvialik ACMC.

The Nivvialik Area Co-Management Committee (ACMC) is an advisory

committee that is responsible for the day-to-day management of

McConnell River Migratory Bird Sanctuary. The main job of the ACMC is to

make sure that wildlife and the habitat that wildlife depend on is conserve

in those areas.

Minimum KIA Requirements:

• Must have interest, knowledge and/or experience in conservation,

wildlife, tourism, and/or Inuit culture and heritage.

• Must be 18 years of age.

• Must have a criminal records check.

To be considered, candidates must be actively and personally

committed to representing the interests of Nunavut beneficiaries.

Call for Expression of Interest

Rankin Inlet Community Joint Planning and Management

Committee (CJPMC) Iqalugaarjuup Nunanga

Kivalliq Inuit Association is inviting nomination for appointment to the

Rankin Inlet Community Joint Planning & Management Committee (CJPMC)

for the Iqalugaarjuup Nunanga Nunavut Territorial Parks.

Under the terms of the Umbrella Impact and Benefit Agreement for

Territorial Parks in the Nunavut Settlement Area (Territorial Parks IIBA),

Kivalliq Inuit Association (KIA) along with the Government of Nunavut (GN)

appoints six (6) representatives to the Community Joint Planning and

Management Committee.

The purpose of the Community Joint Planning and Management Committee

is to provide advice and recommendations to the GN on all aspects related

to the planning, establishment, operation and management of a specific

Territorial Park: in this case, the Iqalugaarjuup Nunanga Territorial Park

Project.

Kivalliq Inuit Association is seeking three (3) individuals who demonstrate

an interest, knowledge and experience in parks, tourism, and Inuit culture

& heritage and wish to make a contribution to the establishment, co-management

and planning of the Iqalugaarjuup Nunanga Territorial Park in

Rankin Inlet. This is a three (3) year term.
