Processing and Harvesting
The Nunavut Development Corporation is seeking a dynamic hands-on individual with a broad base of business and financial skills to assume the role of Business Advisor for its processing and harvesting subsidiary companies.
This position is located at the Nunavut Development Corporation headquarters in Rankin Inlet.
The Business Advisor will be primarily responsible for providing strategic, financial and operational support to two fish and meat processing companies located in Nunavut.
The successful individual will possess proven financial management skills, have five years of senior management experience and have strong communication skills; fluency in Inuktitut being a definite asset. Familiarity with federal and territorial regulatory framework enabling commercial harvesting (fishery or land-based) and food processing will also be preferred. The individual should have some post-secondary training with a related degree or diploma being desirable; a moderate amount of travel will be required with this position.
The Nunavut Development Corporation offers a generous compensation and benefit package, which includes Northern Allowance, Housing Allowance, Group Insurance, and a Pension Program.
Preference will be given to beneficiaries of the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement.
