Part-Time Camp Counselors
Job Description
Yellowknife Gymnastics Club is seeking Camp Counselors for our March Break & Summer Camps. The position will be responsible for actively engaging with children ages 3 to 12 years. Hours are flexible, to a maximum of 37.5 hours weekly. Gymnastics foundations trained or willing to obtain, Active Start and trampoline an asset but not necessary.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Counselors
- Maintain a fun and safe environment
- Prepare and execute crafts
- Ensure participants are wearing appropriate training attire and hair is tied up when necessary
- Educate and implement the safety rules of the gym
- Assist with set up and take down of circuits
- Actively participate in warm up and cool down
- Actively assist other coaches when necessary
Administration
- Keep an accurate record of all participants, contact information Other duties as requested
- Attend staff meetings
- Submit time off requests in a timely manner (a minimum of two weeks prior)
- Arrange for appropriate substitution when taking time off
- Submit all accident or incident reports as per club policies
Other
- Adhere to all club policies and procedures
- Adhere to all codes of ethics and codes of conduct as per club policy
- Adhere to coaching attire guidelines
- Be on time and always prepared
Maintain a clean and tidy work area
