CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER
The Hamlet of Gjoa Haven is seeking a community minded Chief Administrative Officer, to lead our team and guide our community’s growth and development.
Key Responsibilities
• Strategic Vision: Guided by the council’s strategic plan, you will develop and implement operational plans to achieve council’s vision for the community
• Team Leadership: Mentor and support our team and sustain a positive workplace culture
• Policy Leadership: Recommend and oversee policies that support accountability, fiscal responsibility, and innovation
• Governance and Operations: Supporting council with information to make strategic decisions and overseeing municipal operations to ensure effective service delivery in alignment with council’s direction.
• Financial Accountability: With the support
of a Finance Director – the CAO has ultimate accountability to council and funders for the responsible use of municipal funds.
• We offer a competitive compensation package that includes a strong base salary in the range of $150-$170,000 per annum plus $26,345 in Nunavut Northern Allowance, plus additional benefits including subsidized staff housing, health, pension and more.
