YWCA is hiring a
Community Outreach Coordinator
The YWCA NWT is looking for a compassionate, self-driven and community-oriented individual to fill the role of Community Outreach Coordinator. The community outreach coordinator will oversee the Safe Homes Pilot project in three NWT communities and YWCA NWT advocacy and outreach initiatives. A focus of this role is to expand partnership and networking opportunities to advance gender equity in the NWT and improve awareness of women’s issues relating to violence, abuse and poverty and to effectively advocate for positive change across the territory.
How to Apply
Candidate should have experience facilitating community meetings, good research skills and ability to summarize research findings, experience working with women who have experienced violence and/or poverty, knowledge of issues facing northern women and communities. This position can be located anywhere in the Northwest Territories and includes travel to other NWT communities. This is a one (1) year Full-time (term) working 40 hours weekly with the possibility of an extension.
