Full-Time Director of Regulatory Services and Professional Practice
Job Description
The RNANT/NU has the legislated responsibility to register all nurses in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut. Our mission is to protect the public and to support nurses by promoting and maintaining nursing standards and advocating for our members through consultation, education and community building.
The Director of Regulatory Services and Professional Practice is responsible for managing the regulatory functions of the RNANT/NU; representing the organization on territorial and national committees; and providing consultation and education to RNs, employers and the public on nursing practice issues.
The successful applicant will have a Baccalaureate in Nursing (Master’s Degree preferred) with a minimum of 5 years of recent RN experience, and be eligible for an active practicing license with RNANT/NU. The applicant must demonstrate:
• knowledge of nursing regulatory functions and processes
• awareness of current nursing trends and issues
• strong critical thinking and writing skills
• excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and
• the ability to time manage, organize and prioritize their own workload.
