The Languages Commissioner is an independent Officer of the Legislative Assembly. The Office of the Languages Commissioner of Nunavut safeguards and promotes the language rights of Official Language communities of Inuit, English and French. These rights are enshrined in Nunavut’s Official Languages Act and Inuit Language Protection Act.

Salary Scale: $111,566 to $159,380 IQALUIT, NU

Please note that all Iqaluit-based positions are eligible for a Nunavut Northern Allowance of $15,016 per annum.
