Full-Time Director / YWCA Violence Against Women Shelters and Support Services
Job Description
The YWCA NWT is a large, multi-service non-profit charity operating in the Northwest Territories. YWCA’s VAW Shelters and Support Services provides safe shelter, outreach and support services to women with or without children who are experiencing intimate partner violence or other forms of crises that impact their ability to reside safely in the community. We are seeking an experienced individual to lead and manage our high quality women’s support services in this northern environment.
This is a full-time permanent position with a salary range of $85,000-$96,000 per annum. The YWCA NWT offers a competitive benefit package, a pension plan and a flexible, pleasant work environment.
Responsibilities:
This position requires a social work or mental health background, with direct experience in residential support services, and a minimum of five years supervisory and budgeting experience. A demonstrated commitment to the rights of women and children and to a collaborative/cooperative management style as well as a desire to continue developing high quality support programs would be extremely advantageous.
