Election Day Staff
The City of Yellowknife is seeking dynamic individuals to assume the challenging and rewarding positions of Poll Supervisors, Deputy Returning Officers and Poll Clerks for the upcoming Election on October 17, 2022.
• Poll Supervisors – responsible for the general operation of a designated Voter Assistance Location (experience required);
• Deputy Returning Officers – responsible for issuance of ballots; assisting voters and administering oaths at a Voter Assistance Location;
• Poll Clerks – responsible for voter record management and assisting a Deputy Returning Officer at a Voter Assistance Location.
All successful candidates will be required to attend a training session prior to the Election and must stay at their assigned Voter Assistance Location from 9:00 a.m. until the ballots are tallied (approximately between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.) on Election Day. Candidates must also be able to demonstrate basic computer literacy.
The following honorarium will be paid:
Poll Supervisors $350 plus $25 for training session
Deputy $300 plus $25 for training session
Returning Officers
Poll Clerks $250 plus $25 for training session
