is seeking an
EXECUTIVE MANAGER
IHA is responsible for the management and maintenance of 17 affordable housing and 250 public housing units in the community of Inuvik, NT. IHA is seeking applications for the position of EXECUTIVE MANAGER, an experienced person whose duties will commence as soon as possible.
Reporting to the IHA Board of Directors the Executive Manager will be responsible for the overall administration and management of the IHA according to the policies, directives and Community Services Agreement between the Housing NWT and the IHA, and the policies of IHA. Supported by a Finance Officer and a Maintenance Manager the incumbent will oversee a unionized staff of seven to nine employees.
The knowledge, skills and abilities for this position would normally be acquired through:
• The successful completion of a Certified Property Manger® designation; a relevant undergraduate degree plus two years management experience; a relevant diploma and four years management experience; or five years’ experience in a management position.
• Experience in property management would be an asset.
• Knowledge of finance and SAGE 50 software systems would be an asset.
• Experience with the NWT Residential Tenancies Act and a general level of home maintenance knowledge would be an asset.
• A valid class 5 driver’s license is required.
• Directly related experience may be the prime factor considered for this position.
