Expression Of Interest – External Auditor
The Fort Norman Métis Community is inviting Expression of Interest (EOI) for an Auditing Firm to execute auditing services for the fiscal year 2021-2022. The overall goal is to conduct a General Year End Audit of all Fort Norman Métis Community Corporations (Fort Norman Métis Community, Fort Norman Métis Financial Corporation, Fort Norman Métis Development Corporation) are in accordance with the Canadian accounting standards for not-for-profit organizations.
Specific Objectives of the Audit Service:
1. To Conduct General End of the Year Audit of all Fort Norman Métis Community Corporations accounts accordance with the Canadian accounting standards for not-for-profit organizations.
2. To Conduct End of theYear Audit of all operations and procedures to ensure that (Fort Norman Métis Community, Fort Norman Métis Financial Corporation, Fort Norman Métis Development Corporation) is following the Canadian accounting standards for not-for-profit organizations.
3. Express an opinion on the financial statements of the Fort Norman Métis Community entities (Fort Norman Métis Community, Fort Norman Métis Financial Corporation, Fort Norman Métis Development Corporation).
4. Prepare audited financial reports.
Applicant must submit and Expression of Interest including:
1. A company profile and proof of legal certificate and affiliations.
2. Cover letter expressing interest.
3. Resume/CV of lead auditor to be assigned to the audit.
4. Evidence of experience eligibility and rules.
• The EOI is open to all Audit firms legally authorized to operate in Canada
• All applicants must be a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Canada.
• All applicants must be a member of CPA NWT.
• Following review of the Expression of Interest. Selected firms will be invited to submit a full proposal.
