Job Description
Inuvik Housing Authority is seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of
FINANCE OFFICER
Minimum qualifications:
• Diploma and/or Degree in Accounting
• three years experience in FULL CYCLE accounting
• proficient with Microsoft applications including Excel, Word and Outlook
• knowledge and experience working with Sage (formerly ACCPAC) accounting software
• education and experience equivalencies may be considered
The following are considered assets:
• experience with SAGE300
• Class 5 Driver’s Licence
• supervising experience
Criminal Record / Vulnerable Sector Check required
Duties and responsibilities, but not limited to:
Manage day-to-day financial operations; Payroll, employee benefits, accounts payable and receivable;
Deposits; Weekly and monthly bank and rent collection reconciliations; Monthly board reports; Quarterly
variance reports; GST, Payroll Tax, WSCC remittance; Support and supervision of clerical staff;
