Come and join the Joint Secretariat as the
FISHERIES JOINT MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE COMMUNITY LIAISON
(One year term position with potential for renewal)
Are you passionate about protecting the wildlife and environment within the Inuvialuit Settlement Region (ISR)? Do you like being out on the land? Are you a curious and organized person?
The Fisheries Joint Management Committee (FJMC) Community Liaison works with the Hunters and Trappers Committees across the ISR to identify local priorities and develop projects to address those priorities.
The successful candidate will be curious and interested in learning, flexible and able to solve problems. They will have an interest in working with the ISR communities, an ability to travel, strong organizational skills and good computer skills. The Joint Secretariat is open to candidates that have a relevant combination of knowledge and
experience in lieu of formal education.
Preference is given to candidates with knowledge of the Inuvialuit Final Agreement, prior living and/or working experience in Northern Canada and a proven ability to work independently and without close supervision in a co-operative environment.
