Job Description

The Diocese of Mackenzie-Fort Smith is hiring a full-time Catholic priest to serve the parish in Inuvik, NT. This is a permanent position with a monthly salary of $3760.43 and a 40-hour work week.

Duties include:

• Leading Mass and religious services

• Administering sacraments and rites

• Providing spiritual counseling and pastoral care

• Teaching Bible studies and catechism

• Visiting homes, hospitals, and elders

• Organizing outreach and interfaith events

Requirements:

• Ordination and theological training

• At least one year of ministry experience

• Strong communication skills

• Willingness to serve in a remote northern community

This position is LMIA-exempt under R205(d), exemption code C50. The Diocese will support the successful candidate’s permanent residence application through the NWT Nominee Program.
