Independent Legal Advice Coordinator
YWCA NWT is looking for an Independent Legal Advice (ILA) Coordinator. Working from a victim-centred, trauma-informed, culturally safe framework, the ILA coordinator works with other service agencies to promote coordination and linkages to support survivors of sexual assault and family violence. The ILA program offers information and free, confidential legal advice that helps survivors understand their options in the legal system, enabling them to make informed choices regarding their cases. This individual works directly with survivors and partnering agencies to ensure clients receive appropriate support and referrals.
How to Apply
Candidates should have experience providing client-centered intervention and crisis counselling with diverse and vulnerable populations, post-secondary education in Social Work, Counselling, Gender Studies or Sociology, demonstrated experience working with Indigenous individuals and organizations and other qualifications.
