Indigenous Language and Culture Classroom Assistant
Full-time One-Year Term Position

The successful candidate will assist with the delivery of Indigenous Language Instruction and Culture-Based Education programs. This will include assisting with the planning and delivery of language instruction, assisting with the delivery of the Dene Kede program and with planning of Indigenous Language and Cultural experience camps.
The ideal candidate will have experience with working in cultural programming at a high school level, have a knowledge of the Wiilideh or Tlicho languages and have strong communication and organizational skills.
The candidate must enjoy working with high school age students and be willing to participate in professional development and language curriculum training.
Candidates must have an original acceptable Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) in place. The original VSC must be dated within 90 days of the date the application is received. This is a condition of employment, and must be in place prior to commencing work in any school.
