The Dene Nation is seeking five post-secondary students to fill the following position of:
LAND-BASED EDUCATION RESOURCE DEVELOPER (LBERD)
The successful candidates will report to the Land-Based Education Project Coordinator. The LBERD will be responsible to develop both land-based learning activities and resources based on themes and topics provided.
Knowledge requirements:
- knowledge of resource and lesson development
- knowledge of, or access to traditional knowledge from region
Abilities:
- able to work independently
- able to interview elders to collect knowledge
- able to incorporate knowledge and language learning into lessons
- able to create learning plans following template provided
- able to create resources as required
Qualifications:
- recently graduated or continuing post-secondary student
- preference given to Bachelor of Education students
Other requirements:
- access to internet and computer to work from home
Salary will be $21.00 per hour based on weekly submissions of completed work.
