MAINTENANCE FOREMAN
The Fort Providence Housing Association is responsible for the delivery of social housing in the community of Fort Providence. The Maintenance Foreman is responsible for the development, implementation, supervision and administration of the web work program and ensuring a high standard of quality in the planned and emergency maintenance of all housing units.
Job requirements:
• valid Interprovincial Red Seal in one of the trades: O.B.M., Plumber, Carpenter
• minimum of five (5) years’ experience
• First Aid Certification
• valid Driver’s Licence
• must provide criminal records check
• team player, reliable, effective interpersonal skills and organized
• operate the web works program and all related procedures to ensure they are effectively being delivered
• carry out regular condition rating inspections to ensure web works is being followed and standards are being met
• provide supervision to all maintenance staff
• monitoring all building and staff for safety regulations
• inspect all housing units, warehouse, shop and lands, work and mobile equipment
Skills:
• ability to implement and monitor a maintenance program
• supervisory experience
• discretion in dealing with difficult tenants is required
• knowledge of budgets
• estimating
• project management
• effective written and verbal communication skills
• computer database, word-processing, spreadsheets
Salary is base on the union of northern workers collective agreement, (www.unw.ca) and includes an attractive benefits package. Only those selected will be contacted for an interview.
