MAINTENANCE PLUMBER/OBM

The Fort Smith Housing Authority is responsible for the delivery of social housing in the community of Fort Smith.
The Plumber/Oil Burner Mechanic performs preventative maintenance checks; service and repair the plumbing and heating systems in all LHO operated assets.
The incumbent must demonstrate the following skills:
- ability to inspect plumbing and hot water systems and equipment
- ability to complete repairs and installation, in accordance to the Plumbing and Heating Codes
- ability to supervise and train apprentices and casual staff
- ability to maintain accurate records
- ability and willingness to keep up-to-date with technology
Your educational background will include Journeyman Plumber/Class ‘A’ Gas Fitter Certificate. You must be able to register with the NWTHC Boiler Inspector for the gas portion of the ticket. Class 5 NWT driver’s licence is required.
Knowledge of Computer based systems (MMOS or Webworks) is an asset. Three years of related experience is essential.
Salary is under review and will commensurate with qualifications and work experience. Closing date for this competition will be May 15, 2020 at 3:00 pm local time.
