Full-Time Maintenance Supervisor

maintenance
supervisor
(Class 5 Stationary Engineer)
for our Giant Mine site located
near Yellowknife, NT.
The Maintenance Supervisor coordinates site maintenance activities and supervises field personnel as required to successfully complete the project on schedule and within budget.
Requirements and duties:
- Prior experience with Contract Management
- Exceptional supervisory skills with the ability to supervise stationary equipment mechanical maintenance activities
- Experience with mobile equipment maintenance and servicing and ordering necessary parts
- Assists in the coordination of the maintenance, construction and repair of surface roads
- Conduct regular inspections, maintenance and cleaning of mechanical equipment and installations
- Prior experience with pricing of mechanical installations
- Previous experience with the installation of various pumps
- Excellent knowledge with operation and servicing of boilers
- A strong knowledge of relevant mining/construction sector
- Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
- Above average computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, etc.)
- Eligible to join the Mine Rescue Team or become certified as a mine rescuer
- Minimum of 5th Class Stationary Engineer’s certificate as per the NT Boiler and pressure vessels regulations
- Holder of a current Mine Supervisory certificate
Work schedule: Monday to Friday, with the occasional need for overtime
