Term Position NEBS Pension Committee
Northern Employee Benefits Services (NEBS) is seeking interested individuals for the NEBS Pension Committee.
NEBS is a northern based not for profit Pension Plan and Group Benefits Plan for public sector organizations, NGO’s, Aboriginal Governments, School Boards and other similar groups in both the NWT and Nunavut. NEBS has 141 Employer members and in excess of 2000 Employee Members. The organization is governed by an elected Board as well as an appointed Pension Committee. The NEBS office is located in Yellowknife with a seasonal office in Rankin Inlet, NU. NEBS has 6 staff members that administer both the Pension Plan and Group Benefits Plan.
NEBS is seeking 3 individuals interested in sitting on the Pension Committee that represent the best interests of the Pension Plan members. These individuals must be northerners residing in either the NWT or Nunavut, familiar with NEBS, familiar with pension plans and have the ability to attend 3 to 4 meetings a year in Yellowknife or another northern community. These positions are for a 4-year term commencing March 1, 2024.
