Notice of Annual General Meeting 2023
Pauktuutit Inuit Women of Canada will host its Annual General Meeting on February 21 and 22, 2023.
This year, the inperson meeting will be held at the Aqsarniit Conference Centre in Iqaluit, Nunavut.
The Board of Directors will report on activities conducted during the 20212022 fiscal year.
Nominations to Pauktuutit’s Board of Directors
In addition to regular business, Board Members will be elected as part of the Annual General Meeting in the following regions:
•Nunatsiavut
•Happy ValleyGoose Bay
•Nunavik – Hudson
•Qikiqtani North, Nunavut
•Qikiqtani South, Nunavut
•Kitikmeot, Nunavut
•Iqaluit, Nunavut
•Inuvialuit Settlement Region
•SouthEast Urban
•SouthWest Urban
•Youth, Inuit Nunangat
Inuit women in Canada who are interested in furthering Pauktuutit’s agenda and are interested in being considered for the vacancies listed may submit a written nomination based on the eligibility requirements.
Any Inuk woman can nominate a candidate or be nominated for a position on the Pauktuutit Board of Directors. Nominators must be from the same region as the candidate and all Directors must reside within the region they represent.
Additionally, at the first Board meeting following the election, the newly elected Board will nominate and select individuals to fill key positions from within the new board membership. These include President and Secretary Treasurer.
