Founded in 1984, Pauktuutit Inuit Women of Canada is the national voice of Inuit women in Canada. Based in Ottawa, the organization is governed by a 15‐person
board of directors made up of Inuit women across the country.
Pauktuutit will host its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on February 14 and 15, 2024, celebrating 40 years of advocacy, awareness, and capacity building for Inuit women.
This year, the in‐person meeting will be at the Cartier Place Suite Hotel in Ottawa. The Board of Directors will report on activities conducted during the 2022‐2023
fiscal year.
Elections for Pauktuutit’s Board of Directors
In addition to regular business, Board Members will be elected as part of the AGM in the following regions:
• Nunatsiavut
• Qikiqtani North, Nunavut
• Kivalliq
• Kitikmeot
• Iqaluit, Nunavut
• Yellowknife, NWT
• Inuit Nunangat Youth (18‐35 years old)
Inuit women in Canada interested in advancing Pauktuutit’s mandate as a board member may submit a written nomination form.
Pauktuutit’s Board of Directors is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction of the organization by meeting virtually and in person with expenses covered.
