NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Applicant: Arctic Canadian Diamond Company Ltd. (Arctic)
Location: Ekati Diamond Mine, NT
Purpose: Arctic Canadian Diamond Company Ltd. (Arctic) submitted an application package for proposed underground mining at the Sable Development (the Project) at the Ekati Mine. Arctic included an application to amend Water Licence W2022L2-0001 and for a new Land Use Permit to reflect the Project (W2024D0005).

Intervention deadline: September 4, 2024
A public hearing will be held by the Board to fulfill 41(2)(b) of the Waters Act on September 25 and 26, 2024. The hearing will be held at the Culture Centre Hall in Behchokǫ̀, NT in accordance with the LWB Rules of Procedure.
Written interventions for this public hearing must be submitted to the Board at the address below by 5:00 p.m., September 4, 2024.

If no notice is received of persons indicating their intention to appear and make presentations concerning the Applications, and the Applicant consents in writing to the disposition of the matters without a public hearing, the Board may cancel the hearing as per subsection 41(3) of the Waters Act.
