Applicant: Diavik Diamond Mines (2012) Inc (DDMI)
Location: Diavik Diamond Mine, Lac de Gras, NT
Purpose: DDMI has proposed to amend its Type A Water Licence (W2015L2-0001) to include progressive reclamation activities associated with pit flooding, and the decommissioning of Dams and engineered structures.

A public hearing will be held by the Board to fulfill 41(2)(b) of the Waters Act on February 22-24, 2022. The hearing will be held at the Tree of Peace in Yellowknife, NT and virtually in accordance with the Board’s Rules of Procedure.
Written interventions for this public hearing must be submitted to the Board at the address below by 5:00 p.m., January 20, 2022.

If no notice is received of persons indicating their intention to appear and make presentations concerning the Application, and the Applicant consents in writing to the disposition of the matter without a public hearing, the Board may cancel the hearing as per subsection 41(3) of the Waters Act.
