Job Description
TOWN OF INUVIK Notice to Bidders – New Utilidor Construction
Electronic submissions entitled “Blocks 34 & 94 Utilidor” and addressed to Town of Inuvik shall be received via email at mmaltais@mcelhanney.com before 2:00 p.m., local time, on February 15, 2024.
The work generally comprises:
– The approximate 850 m of new Jacket Insulated Steel Pipe on Piles (JIPSP) style utilidor. New sewer and water mains are 200mm insulated pipes with approximately 170 m HDPE DR17 pipe to be installed below ground and 1490 m cement lined Sch 80 steel pipe to be installed above ground.
– Installation of 142 steel piles.
– Installation of 56 service box connections.
– Installation of 4 road crossings: 3 direct bury and 1 culverted crossing.
– Installation of approximately 4,500 m3 of clay fill.
– Provision of temporary facilities to maintain water and sewer services.

Bids should be accompanied by Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid Price, payable to the Town of Inuvik. Failure to provide Bid Security will be a factor taken into account when awarding the contract.
