NOTICE TO RESIDENTS OF
TAKE NOTICE THAT THE 2020 CERTIFIED ASSESSMENT ROLL, FIRST REVISION FOR 2021 TAXATION FOR THE TOWN OF HAY RIVER HAS BEEN DEPOSITED IN THE OFFICE OF THE SENIOR ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER AND WILL REMAIN OPEN FOR INSPECTION OF ANY PERSON.
Any person desiring to complain against the assessment must lodge their complaint with the Secretary of the Board, Municipal Board of Revision within forty five (45) days from the date of this notice. All complainants will be notified where and when the Municipal Board of Revision will sit.
Any person may make a complaint to the Municipal Board of Revision about:
- the name of the assessed owner
- an assessed value shown on the Certified Assessment Roll, First Revision
- the property class that is assigned to assessed property
- whether anything that has been assessed is exempt from assessment or is not liable to assessment
- a clerical, typographical, administrative or other error on, or omission from the Certified Assessment Roll, First Revision
Complainants are expected to supply a detailed written and/or verbal presentation to the Board supporting the grounds of their complaint. If you wish to complain you may do so by completing the lower portion of the Notice of Assessment and send it to:
Secretary of the Municipal Board of Revision at the Town of Hay River, 100 – 62 Woodland Drive, Hay River, NT, X0E 1G1.
You must include your name and address, the location of the property, your complaint and the reason(s) for it, and what remedies you seek, explained in detail.
