Full-Time Operations Manager

Reporting to Director of Operations the Operations Manager will be responsible for organizing, coordinating and communicating the needs of our clients, staff and management team in a courteous and efficient manner. The successful candidate will work in a team environment, communicating with a number of people to ensure client needs are met. Shifts will mostly be M-F Days however as Kivalliq Inuit Center is a 24/7 facility, hours may vary based on operational requirements. (Days, Evenings, Weekends, Overnights and Holidays). **Relocation assistance is available.
Key duties and responsibilities:
• assists the KDC President and Director of Operations in meeting the Department’s objectives in regard to labor costs, accuracy and completeness of data items and guest satisfaction
• coordinate with all members of the Management team ensuring optimal client care
• maintain operations ensuring a safe and secure environment
• complete required reports and review all incident reports
• assist and maintain documentation required for billing purposes
• ensure all employees are maintaining exemplary customer service
• on Call Duties
Minimum Job Requirements:
• college/University level Business Admin and/or Accounting Diploma/Certification
• three Years Management experience
• previous experience with Customer Service
• ability to work independently without supervision
• first Aid/CPR/AED certified (or willing to learn)
• workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) trained (or willing to learn)
• a clear criminal record check and child abuse registry check
• bilingualism (Inuktitut and English) is a strong asset
Knowledge and Skills:
• ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written form
• excellent Computer Skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
• detail orientated person with an ability to organize and prioritize tasks
• ability to adapt to variety of people with a positive attitude and dedication to ensuring customer satisfaction
• ability to retain information which is of a confidential nature
• ability to operate in an environment that handles sensitive and personal information
• demonstrated ability and aptitude for problem solving
• ability to make reasonable observations and apply reasonable decisions while calmly taking action in a variety of situations – including emergencies
• demonstrated ability to adapt readily to stressful situations in a high energy workplace
Preferred Qualifications:
•Beneficiary status with the ability to speak Inuktitut
