Full-Time President of the Kivalliq Development Corporation (KDC)
The Kivalliq Development Corporation is seeking a dynamic individual to fill the position of President on a three-year term basis. Reporting directly to the Chairperson of the Board of KDC, this position maintains an office and presence at the Kivalliq Inuit Center in Winnipeg. The incumbent will work with their management team to lead the activities of the Kivalliq Inuit Centre and to oversee the day-to-day operations.
The President is responsible to provide leadership for the Kivalliq Development Corporation by working with its Board of Directors, representing its Inuit shareholders, Sakku Investment Corporation and Nunasi Corporation, to establish long-term goals, strategies, plans, and policies. The President is also responsible for providing direction to the Kivalliq Inuit Centre’s senior management in line with the objectives of the Board of Directors for KDC.
The President must demonstrate strengths in operation planning, supplemented with a strong understanding of financial and human resource management. The individual should have a minimum of five years of progressive management experience, with a thorough understanding of practices and standards relevant to KDC’s business interests. The incumbent requires knowledge of northern cultures, cross-cultural processes, and a functional level of fluency in written and oral Inuktitut is a definite asset. Having a background in medical services is deemed to be a strong asset.
Preference will be provided to Inuit registered as a beneficiary in the Kivalliq region.
