The Wildlife Management Advisory Council (North Slope) is seeking a qualified individual to join our small and highly collaborative team, in the role of Program Manager. The Program Manager is responsible for developing and managing programs and projects. This is a permanent 0.8 full time equivalent (30 hours per week) position. Our organization is committed to an inclusive, people-centered workplace and to upholding the principles of the Inuvialuit Final Agreement, including conserving and protecting wildlife, habitat and traditional Inuvialuit Use throughout the Yukon North Slope. Interested persons are invited to submit a resumé with a cover letter clearly indicating how they meet the following essential qualifications:

• diploma or degree from a recognized college or university in the fields of Natural Resource Management, Biology or Social Sciences OR an acceptable combination of education, training, traditional knowledge and/or experience;
• experience working within complex multi-party processes with Indigenous groups and government in situations requiring sensitivity, self-awareness, and strong conflict resolution skills;
• experience working with the Inuvialuit Final Agreement or other Indigenous Comprehensive Land Claim Agreements;
• experience working with Inuvialuit communities and organizations or other Indigenous organizations and Governments;
• managing and participation in working groups, cooperative or consultative boards and/or processes;
• strong written and verbal communication skills, including engaged listening;
• strong presentation skills;
• experience managing budgets and contractors;
• experience in the development of policy, reports and presentation materials in cooperation with Indigenous partners;
• experience reviewing, interpreting, and applying information from diverse knowledge systems;
• experience developing and managing programs and projects with multiple groups.
