DigitalNWT develops educational resources and digital literacy courses customized for the unique needs of people living in the communities across the Northwest Territories (NWT). The initiative, a project on Tides Canada’s shared platform, is led by the Gwich’in Tribal Council (GTC), the Inuvialuit Regional Corporation (IRC), the Sahtu Renewable Resources Board (SRRB), and the Tåîchô Government. These organizations are partnering with the University of Alberta, the Smart Communities Society, Aurora College, and the Aurora Research Institute to ensure the successful delivery of the program. DigitalNWT is seeking a Project Manager. Located in Inuvik, NT and reporting to the DigitalNWT Steering Committee and the co-directors. DigitalNWT aims to strengthen the foundation of community-based digital literacy in the NWT. The Project Manager is the primary point-person responsible for providing daily administrative support to plan and execute the Digital Literacy vision, strategic plan and goals within a timely manner, within budget, and in accordance to specifications.
To achieve these important goals, the Project Manager will assist in the development and implementation of project requirements and scope, help acquire project resources, and carry out the general administration of project activities. This role requires tact and diplomacy when dealing with community members, project team members and non-government organizations.

To meet the above criteria the following qualifications are required:
• Project Management certificate or diploma, or degree in management, business or a related field
• minimum two (2) years of progressive project management practices
• one year supervisory experience
• must have experience working in a cross-cultural environment
