Job Description

Established in 1997, the Arctic Energy Alliance (AEA) is a not-for-profit organization that employs 20-plus people. AEA has offices in Inuvik, Norman Wells, Fort Simpson, Behchokô, Hay River and Yellowknife. Currently we are recruiting for the following positions:

Regional Energy Project Coordinator – Dehcho
Permanent, Full-Time
Located in Fort Simpson, the Regional Energy Project Coordinator position involves travel to Yellowknife and the NWT communities in the Dehcho Region.

Regional Energy Project Coordinator – South Slave
Permanent, Full-Time
Located in Hay River, the Regional Energy Project Coordinator position involves travel to Yellowknife and the NWT communities in the South Slave Region.

Both positions report to the Executive Director and works together with the AEA team, with a focus on delivering AEA programs in the communities in their region. The Project Coordinator’s role is to assist NWT individuals, businesses, institutions and communities to implement projects that reduce their energy costs and related greenhouse gas emissions. The Project Coordinator liaises with appropriate AEA staff for advice and completion of community projects.

Both positions involve travel to NWT communities (by air and/or winter road). The AEA offers a competitive salary.
