Project: On The Land
Healing Camp Rental
REF: 2023/24-011
The Yellowknives Dene First Nation (YKDFN) are inviting companies to submit proposals for rental of a traditional camp setting, for YKDFN to deliver On The Land Healing Program, preferably on the traditional Chief Drygeese territory. The Project will have three deliveries of two weeks camp rental totaling six (6) weeks, between the dates of February 1, 2024 to April 31, 2024.
As a First Nations organization, we know firsthand that indigenous people are deeply connected to their culture and land, so this unique approach for YKDFN to deliver healing on the land program will be a stepping stone for individuals, their families and a brighter future for our communities. The success of the program will essentially depend on a traditional cultural camp setting.
