Job Type: Full-Time – Permanent
Salary: $24.20 per hour
We are looking for a full-time candidate (minimum 30 hours/per week) to fill the position of Retail Store Supervisor.
This position is a dynamic, multifaceted job that requires a self-directed individual with strong organizational skills. The successful candidate will have experience working in a cooperative setting. This entails effective communication skills to interact with staff, customers, vendors, workshop attendees and other stakeholders. Effective multitasking is essential.
Retail Store Supervisor will supervise and coordinate sales staff and cashiers, assign duties and prepare work schedules, authorize payments, returns, and manage customer issues, handle inventory, order merchandise and maintain stock levels. Train, and monitor new staff performance, maintain store standards, including displays and cleanliness, perform frontline tasks and managerial duties as needed (e.g., opening/closing, complaint escalation, marketing, deliveries).
The Retail Store Supervisor will collaborate closely with our Cooperative President as well as our General Office Manager to ensure smooth and effective operations in all related departments.
Job requirements: Completion of Secondary school/Diploma and previous retail experience.
