SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKERS
Full-time (1.00 f.t.e) School Social Worker positions will be ten (10) month term positions following the PRSD school year calendar from August 26, 2020 to June 30, 2021 with the possibility of future contracts. The School Social Workers will be responsible for addressing the social, behavioural, and emotional factors which impede a
student’s school performance. These positions will provide support to students and their families where there are complex issues that may require counselling, community agency involvement, crisis involving family support as well as situations involving mental health concerns.
Qualifications:
- four year Bachelor Degree in Social Work
- must be registered with the Alberta College of Social Workers
- valid Driver’s Licence
- social work experience working with children/youth experiencing social/emotional difficulties in an educational setting or social service agency would be an asset
