Job Description
Yellowknife Education District No. 1 is looking for candidates interested in the following positions:
SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS
Preference will be given to applicants with teaching and/or related degrees or a combination of post-secondary education and relevant experience. Bilingualism in French and English would be an asset.
CASUAL SCHOOL JANITORS
(On-call/casual hours as needed)
Yellowknife Education District No. 1 is looking for individuals interested in working on a casual/on-call basis as replacement school janitors. Approved applicants will be placed on the District’s casual janitor list and will be called into work in the absence of regular janitors. Hourly wage is $24.56 per hour.

Incomplete applications (without all requested supporting documentation as per the application) will not be considered.
Candidates must have an original acceptable Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) in place. The original VSC must be dated within 90 days of the date the application is received. This is a condition of employment and must be in place prior to commencing work in any school.
