Arctic Energy Alliance

Established in 1997, the Arctic Energy Alliance (AEA) is a not-for-profit organization that employs 20-plus people. AEA has offices in Inuvik, Norman Wells, Fort Simpson, Whati, Hay River and Yellowknife.

Currently we are recruiting for the following positions:

Regional Energy Project Coordinator – Inuvik – Permanent, Full-time

The Regional Energy Project Coordinator reports to the Executive Director and works together with the AEA team, with a focus on delivering AEA programs in the communities in their regions. The Project Coordinator’s role is to assist NWT individuals, businesses, institutions and communities to implement projects that reduce their energy costs and related greenhouse gas emissions. The Project Coordinator liaises with appropriate AEA staff for advice and completion of community projects.

Community Energy Planning (CEP) Coordinator – 18 Month Term

The Community Energy Planning (CEP) Coordinator reports to the Executive Director and is an integral part of the AEA team. The CEP Coordinator’s role is to work with the Community Energy Planning Team to achieve the project objectives. This position could be located at any Arctic Energy Alliance office.

Both positions involve travel to NWT communities (by air and/or winter road).
