Job Description
Established in 1997, the Arctic Energy Alliance (AEA) is a not-for-profit organization that employs 20-plus people. AEA has offices in Inuvik, Norman Wells, Fort Simpson, Whati, Hay River and Yellowknife.
Currently we are recruiting for the following permanent, full-time positions:
ENERGY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
Located in Yellowknife, the Energy Management Specialist (EMS) reports to the Executive Director and is an integral part of the AEA team. The EMS provides technical expertise in the areas of energy efficiency and renewable energy to AEA clients as well as other AEA staff. The EMS supports the delivery of AEA programs and services to all clients – specific activities will vary depending on which programs and services AEA is delivering.
ENERGY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
with Active Registered Energy Advisor (Rea) Designation
Located in Yellowknife, the Energy Management Specialist (EMS) reports to the Executive Director and will conduct home energy audits on existing and new homes under NRCan’s EnerGuide program with a minimum of two years’ experience. The position provides technical expertise in the areas of energy efficiency and renewable energy to AEA clients and staff. Specific activities vary depending on the programs and services AEA is delivering.
Regional Energy Project Coordinator
Fort Simpson
Located in Fort Simpson, the Regional Energy Project Coordinator reports to the Executive Director and works together with the AEA team, with a focus on delivering AEA programs in the communities in their region. The Project Coordinator’s role is to assist and support NWT individuals, businesses, institutions and communities to implement projects that reduce their energy costs and related greenhouse gas emissions. The Project Coordinator liaises with appropriate AEA staff for advice, consultation and completion of community projects.
All positions involve travel to NT communities in the regions (by air and/or winter road).
