Water / Sewer Maintainer
The Town of Hay River is accepting applications for the position of Water / Sewer Maintainer on a permanent full-time basis.
Duties Include But Are Not Limited To:
• repair water and wastewater mains using hand and power tools
• flush and clean wastewater lines
• repair water shut offs and valves
• activate / deactivate service connections
• complete installation, maintenance and repair of water and sewer services
• inspect and maintain manholes and storm systems
• disassemble, clean, repair, recalibrate, test and install water meters
• inspect, repair, test and maintain fire hydrants
• perform daily maintenance checks
• participate in routine maintenance
• assist the Water Treatment Plant Operator with monitoring and maintenance of treatment plants and lift stations
Desired Qualifications: The Water / Sewer Maintainer would normally attain the required knowledge, skills and attitudes through completion of a high school diploma with a minimum of 2 years related field experience. Equivalencies will be considered.
Compensation:
• the Town of Hay River offers a comprehensive salary and benefits package. Salary range will be from Group 7 Step 1: $32.75 through Step 7: $43.22
