Human Resources Generalist
Under the authority of the YKDFN Government Chiefs and Council and under the direct supervision of the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Generalist will provide support services and coordination of all aspects of human resources functions and duties. The position will also provide liaison services and advice to impact Participation Agreements (PA) with mining companies to ensure that established goals and objectives are met as per defined priorities, timelines and budgets of a workplan.
The ideal candidate for this position will have completed a Certificate or Diploma in Business Management with a focus in Human Resource Management with a minimum of two (2) years of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and training in human resources field coupled with at least four (4) years relevant work experience will be considered. The candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision and interact with individuals of all levels in a friendly yet professional manner.
A valid Class 5 driver’s licence and private vehicle is required as this position is located in Dettah. The ability to speak a Dene language and previous experience in working with First Nations organizations are all definite assets.
